What is an Audiologist? An audiologist is a hearing care professional who has a Master’s degree in Audiology and specializes in the evaluation and assessment of hearing losses. In addition, she works directly with Dr. Komray in following up with the correct treatment options for your needs. An audiologist performs a number of different assessment tests for hearing and balance disorders and when appropriate, provides rehabilitation options.
Who will be fitting me with a hearing aid? Our audiologist and audiology technician have received specialized training for the evaluation and fitting of the proper hearing aid for your particular needs. Our Audiologist is Licensed in the state of Michigan to dispense hearing aids. Our Audiology technician works directly under the guidance of the Audiologist.

We are directly affiliated with West Michigan ENT, under the medical direction of Dr. Raymond Komray. This offers you the most efficient and thorough method of evaluating any hearing loss. In addition to requiring hearing aids, you may find that you have a medical problem which can be readily treated by our professional staff. Dr. Komray and Mr. George McLaughlin, Physician’s Assistant, bring together over 40 years of combined experience in treating the problems of Ear Nose and Throat.
Do I need to have a referral from my physician to see an audiologist or be evaluated for a hearing aid? You can make an appointment directly with West Michigan Hearing Center for your hearing testing and for the evaluation and fitting of a hearing aid.
Will my insurance cover the costs of a hearing aid? You should review any benefits that you may have in your individual insurance policy to verify if you do have any special coverage. We participate with Medicare, Medicaid and Blue Cross Blue Shield and will work with you to receive any benefits that are available to you. You may pay for your hearing aids with Mastercard, Visa and Discover. Payment for your hearing aids is expected at the time of delivery of the instruments. Full refund will be made for Hearing Aids that are returned within 30 days after purchase.
Are there warranties on my Hearing Aids? Hearing Aids are warranted by the manufacturer. The warranty covers all internal parts for repair during a specified period of time. The warranty will be reviewed with you at the time of purchase for the specific instrument which you will be using.
